How Estimates Are Determined At Tony’s, we provide fast & free estimates and we’d like you to understand the process of working with your insurance company and the steps needed to having your car repaired.
An estimate of the cost involved to safely repair your vehicle to pre-accident condition. Repair estimates vary depending on several factors including labor rate, repair parts prices and the amount of time necessary to perform certain repairs. The main elements of an estimate are the initial estimate, the supplemental estimate and an agreed price.
The Initial Estimate
Tony’s estimator will prepare an initial free repair estimate so the repairs can begin. Your insurance company also can help you understand the choices you have to repair your vehicle. You can select any repair shop, but at Tony’s we can work directly with your insurance company and make the process fast and easy for you.
The Supplemental Estimate
If our technicians discover additional damage while we are repairing your vehicle, your insurance claims representative may want to "re-inspect" the vehicle. We’ll be happy to make those calls for you! Re-inspection is not unusual — a vehicle involved in a crash may have damaged parts that are not visible when the initial estimate is written, but become visible once the repairs begin. At this point, the insurance company and Tony’s estimator will review the damage to your vehicle together and make appropriate revisions to include all damaged parts that are found.
Tony’s Agreed Price
Tony’s writes estimates based on parts and labor costs associated with the repair of your vehicle. If another body shop's estimate is higher, or lower than Tony’s we will be happy to explain the difference, and Tony’s will match any price for identical work — that’s guaranteed!
